Before I started writing full time years ago, I spent many years working in the hospital and more time than I care to recall taking CPR and other medical courses in college. I hated having to recertify for CPR every couple of years; it was a big pain in the rear. It also always seemed like the rules for CPR were changing so just when you were used to what you needed to do, you had to learn new things.
